I think the evidence on this is really contentious, and there are so many variables that make it a really hard question to answer definitively, but one thing is certain – telling someone who is stressed and upset that they should relax almost guarantees that they won’t!
I think we can all benefit from stress reduction strategies – there would be very few of us who could honestly say we wouldn’t feel better if we had a bit less stress in our lives. When we are dealing with infertility, being stressed makes the experience even more difficult and distressing, so stress reduction strategies are definitely beneficial.
